Sigur Rós have announced a UK and European tour where they’ll perform with local orchestras, including a London residency – find all the details below.The Icelandic trio are set to perform in “some of the world’s most iconic orchestral venues” where they’ll showcase their 2023 album ‘ÁTTA’ alongside tracks from their extensive catalogue.Sigur Rós wrapped up a North American orchestral tour earlier this month. In November, they’ll kick off the Nordic leg ahead of further shows in Asia and Australia before heading to Europe and the UK next September.The latter stint will include a four-night residency at the historic Royal Albert Hall in London (September 30, October 1, 2, 3), marking their first-ever appearance at the venue.The band are due to be joined by and performing with the London Contemporary Orchestra (LCO), and all shows will be conducted by Robert Ames.Icelandic post-rock band @sigurros are coming to the Hall with the @LCOrchestra in autumn 2025.Priority Booking for Friends & Patrons open at 10am on Wed 16 Oct.

Sigur Rós have announced that they will be releasing a surprise album ‘ÁTTA’.The LP marks their first new studio effort in 10 years, and will arrive digitally tomorrow (June 16). Physical formats will also be available from September 1, pre-order the album here.Consisting of 10 tracks, the upcoming album has been described as their “most intimate and emotionally direct record to date”, and was inspired by that desire for a feeling of unity when overwhelmed by the tumultuous circumstances.“In a post-pandemic world torn apart by war, economic turmoil, culture wars, and brutally divisive discourse, ‘ÁTTA’ feels like a balming and unifying bond.

Scott Frazier (“Berliner”) is adapting for screen.“Free Solo” and “Everest” producer Evan Hayes will produce under his ACE (Anomaly Content & Entertainment) production company.

Announced today (April 26), Prom 21 is titled ‘Gaming Prom – From 8-Bit To Infinity’ and will feature music from the ‘80s all the way up to last year’s Battlefield 2042. According to the BBC the event will take place on August 1 this year, at London’s Royal Albert Hall.On the night, music from Shadow Of The Colossus, Kingdom Hearts, Dear Esther and Battlefield 2042 will be played, with the full programme yet to be announced.“Fantastic worlds, epic adventures, complex characters and huge moral choices,” reads the event’s description.
