Bolton street have voiced concerns over noise and extra traffic as initial work to build an apartment block gets underway. An application to build 14 apartments on disused land in Valletts Lane, Smithills, was submitted to Bolton Council last month.
Plans to build an apartment block on the site, consisting of 12 flats, were previously approved by Bolton Council planning officers in 2018 but the work never carried out.The site has since been sold to Calum Gregory, who appointed Bolton-based architects Bloom to act as the planning agent on the new plans.Chris Jackson, director at Bloom Architects, wrote in the application: "The previous owner has sold the site to my client.
