Lewis Hamilton opens up on ‘deep pain, anguish and frustration’ since George Floyd’s killing

Lewis Hamilton has opened up on his “deep pain, anguish and frustration” in the wake of George Floyd’s killing. The six-time F1 champion has been a leading voice in the call for change after the American’s death while in police custody.

It has seen protests erupt around the world for “Black Lives Matter” as well as statues of historical figures pulled down. And Hamilton has spoken out on his feelings about the events that have unfolded.

Writing for the Times, Hamilton said: “For me, and so many others around the world, seeing George Floyd’s murder triggered a sense of deep pain, anguish and frustration. “For some of those who saw my social media posts, it may have been hard to understand why I reacted the way I did.
