A British police officer and several colleagues are being investigated after an altered picture of George Floyd being arrested was shared on WhatsApp.
A criminal investigation has been launched after the officer, a sergeant at Devon and Cornwall Police, allegedly shared the image with colleagues.
Mr Floyd, an unarmed black man, died after white police officer Derek Chauvin pressed his knee against his neck for eight minutes during an arrest in Minneapolis.
Mr Floyd repeatedly told the officer "I can't breathe", and the killing has sparked protests around the world. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) will consider whether sharing the offensive image was racially motivated.
