Devon and Cornwall Police sergeant probed for 'sharing altered image of George Floyd arrest'

The sergeant is being investigated for gross misconduct over the image, which was allegedly posted in the group on May 30 – five days after Mr Floyd’s death in Minneapolis, where a white police officer knelt on his neck for almost nine minutes.The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) said some other members of the group are also being investigated for their alleged response to the image, or their apparent failure to report the matter.The probe follows a mandatory referral from Devon and Cornwall Police after one of the WhatsApp group members reported the image to their force manager.The force said.
