Law and Order star Ned Eisenberg dies after losing harrowing cancer battle

Law & Order actor Ned Eisenberg has died following a tragic battle with cancer.The actor is best known for playing Detective Hauser in the HBO drama Mare of Easttown alongside Kate Winslet and his work on Law & Order.In the series, he played defence attorney Roger Kressler in "Law & Order" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" which made him one of the series' most regular supporting characters.His wife, Patricia, has confirmed that he died on the weekend aged 65.She told TMZ: "As Ned would say, he was attacked by two very rare assassins — cholangiocarcinoma and ocular melanoma. "Over the course of two years, he bravely fought the cancers in private while continuing to work in show business to ensure that his medical coverage paid for himself and his family.”Ned has also acted in a bunch of successful films including Last Man Standing with Bruce Willis, Limitless and Million Dollar Baby.Other roles he had totted up over the years also include The Burning, Flags of Our Fathers and A Civil Action.The Tv and film star was born and raised in New York City and kicked off his love for acting while studying it in high school.He then went on to get his first film credit in 1980 and also toured the Broadway play "Bright Beach Memories." Ned also co-founded the Naked Angels Theatre Company back in 1987.He also starred roles on various 1980s television series such as The Equalizer and Miami Vice.This then led to a role in the television comedy The Fanelli Boys, which also featured actors Christopher Meloni and Joe Pantoliano.In 1999, he also appeared in the first season episode Denial, Anger, Acceptance as Ariel in the HBO series The Sopranos.
