AEW after the Brit made a sensational debut for the company at Revolution.The Brit was let go by WWE at the start of the year after decades with the company.His departure was a surprise for many fans and there was quickly a clamour for Tony Khan’s company to snap up the hugely knowledgeable veteran.They got their wish at Revolution on Sunday night as Regal appeared to a huge reception at the end of the clash between Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley.Moxley had just pinned Danielson to end a back-in-forth encounter, one clearly set up what will likely be a series of matches between the two top stars in the months and years to come.Danielson took exception to the end of the match and a brawl quickly followed – Regal then striding down to the ring to pull them apart and restore order.Having played a huge role in the careers of both men, he gave each of them a stiff slap before forcing them to shake hands, much to the pleasure of the live crowd.The commentary team teased that the two might even team up together, with Regals surely to play a part moving forward after boss Khan confirmed the deal to bring the British start to AEW.“I think he can contribute on screen in a major way to both Bryan Danielson and also he has a history with Jon Moxley,” Khan explained at a post-show media scrum.“Behind the scenes, I think Lord Regal can teach all of us a lot and it’s gonna be great to have him here on-screen and off-screen and I’m very excited."It came together very recently, and it fits very well with what we’re doing here in AEW all around.”Regal first debuted in WWE in the late 1990s before returning for a second spell.All told, he spent over 20 years in Vince McMahon’s company, wrestling with distinction and winning 15

Fulham owner's son Tony Khan changes wrestling world after buying Ring of Honor
Fulham Football Club's sporting director Tony Khan has bought his second wrestling company in four years - changing the landscape of the sport.Khan, who also owns All Elite Wrestling, has now purchased Ring of Honor Wrestling, which is where top stars such as CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, and Samoa Joe shot to fame.The buyout comes just a few months after the company took a hiatus, and let all of its wrestlers and staff go, due to the effects of the pandemic.The deal signed by the son of Fulham owner Shahid Khan is thought to be worth around £30 million.Khan, who is Chief Football Strategy Officer of American football team Jacksonville Jaguars said: “Ring of Honor’s influence on modern professional wrestling is etched permanently in the history books, and this acquisition ensures that its legacy will be kept alive and treated with the utmost respect.“This deal adds thousands of hours of content to our rapidly growing library and creates new opportunities to expand our footprint on a national and global scale, while having the potential to produce new content under the ROH banner.“I will immediately begin exploring opportunities to make ROH’s video library available to fans, who’ll have the opportunity to witness the beginnings of the careers of some of AEW’s biggest stars.”Joe Koff, chief operating officer for Ring of Honor Wrestling, said: “Ring of Honor has produced some of the best professional wrestlers over the past 20 years, but more importantly, it created a family.“I will be forever grateful to everyone in the ROH family who has worked tirelessly for the past two decades to take ROH to levels previously unimagined.“Tony has the utmost appreciation and respect for Ring of Honor, and I’m truly excited to see how he
