LARRY Lamb has responded to Gavin and Stacey film rumours - branding the show ‘the drug the nation is hooked on’. The 72-year-old plays Gavin's dad Mick Shipman in the hit BBC comedy, which returned for a Christmas Special last December after a decade off screen.

The one-off episode was a huge hit - with over 17 million people tuning in - and left the nation wanting more. Appearing on Loose Women today, Larry was asked if there was any chance of a film-version of the show.
