boxing star Kiko Martinez has shown off his war wounds after he was battered and bruised during his defeat to Josh Warrington in their IBF featherweight title bout.Beaten by the Englishman in 2017, Martinez returned to Leeds to contest the rematch with his belt on the line.
However, he failed to exact any kind of revenge in another loss - and this match-up was far more one-sided than the first clash. The Spaniard was knocked to the canvas in the opening round and was rattled several times throughout before he was defeated in the seventh round.
The 36-year-old suffered several nasty cuts, bruises and black eyes as he was pummelled by Warrington yet again, and he shared his gruesome scars on social media. However, the former two-weight world champion also left his mark on the champion, as Warrington - who was fighting in front of a home crowd in Leeds - suffered a broken jaw himself.
The 31-year-old was rushed to a nearby hospital to undergo various tests, including an X-ray.On Monday, Warrington revealed he had to sacrifice eating his standard full English breakfast due to the extent of his injury.
