Derek, 53, was placed in an induced coma and has since beaten coronavirus, but has been left with a number of health issues including kidney failure, damage to his liver and pancreas as well as heart failure.
In a touching ITV documentary which will air tonight, Finding Derek, where Kate discusses Derek’s fight for his live and their future plans, Kate has revealed she is willing to give up her career to care for her husband.
