Jurgen Klopp has suggested that Fabinho could move into the heart of Liverpool's defence in the wake of Thiago Alcantara’s arrival.
The Brazilian starred in the Reds’ impressive win at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, partnering Virgil van Dijk in a back four. Fabinho stepped in with Joe Gomez and Joel Matip both sidelined with injury and took plaudits from his manager following the win.
During Liverpool ’s 7-2 demolition of Lincoln City, Fabinho was given another run out at the back, replacing van Dijk at half time.
And with the arrival of Thiago adding to an already crowded midfield picture, Klopp has hinted his versatility could mean more minutes.
