Jurgen Klopp has told Curtis Jones the "door is open" to more first team opportunities at Liverpool following his two goals in the cup.
Jones was on target twice as Liverpool battered Lincoln City 7-2 in the Carabao Cup on Thursday, and showed his boss he's ready to take the next step.
The 19-year-old has long been Liverpool's most promising young player and it seems Klopp is now willing to give him a real chance to prove himself at highest level. "Now the door is open," said Klopp. "I don't want to make his performance smaller than it was because it was absolutely exceptional: the way he scores, the way he contributes to the game, that's all really exceptional.
