Chelsea captain John Terry has addressed the debate over who was better between him and former Manchester United star Nemanja Vidic.Terry and Vidic are renowned as being two of the best defenders in the Premier League’s history, with debate raging since they were playing as to who was to better player.The Blues star icon won five Premier League titles, five FA Cups and the Champions League over the course of his 20-year career at Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa.Vidic also enjoyed an incredibly successful stay at Old Trafford, helping United to win five league titles and three League Cups.
Both players were also perennial fixtures in the PFA’s Team of the Year, with both featuring four times, while Vidic was also named the Premier League’s Player of the Year on two occasions.Terry has now moved to address that debate and has admitted his admiration for the former Red Devils star.“Everyone will have different opinions, but Vidic was an unbelievable defender,” Terry said in an Instagram Q&A when asked about the debate over him and Vidic. “I get asked this a lot and the big thing that allows you to be spoken of as one of the very best is longevity.
