Wayne Rooney documentary in which the former striker admitted he put on longer studs to hurt Chelsea.Rooney’s comments in the Amazon film, words that even led to him being warned by the English FA, stated that he changed his studs for a 2006 match between Manchester United and Chelsea "because I wanted to try and hurt someone", before adding: "John Terry left the stadium on crutches.

I left a hole in his foot and then I signed my shirt to him after the game." The Derby County boss has since confirmed that the tackle that saw Terry go off injured was not intentional. And the Chelsea legend has played down any suggestion that the recent revelation has caused any sort of rift between him and his former England team-mate.When responding to questions thrown Terry’s way on Instagram, the 41-year-old was asked by a follower how he felt about Rooney admitting to wearing longer studs.Terry replied: “Of course not.

We know each other well and had many battles over the years. Two stitches at half-time, there was no way I wasn’t coming our [sic] second half to win the league, beating Man United 3-0.”Meanwhile, Terry was also asked about his thoughts on Rooney’s work with Derby. The Rams have had to deal with a 21-point deduction earlier this season after entering administration, making it a near-impossible task for them to remain in the Championship. But despite this, the side are sat just five points off safety.Terry said: "Wayne Rooney is doing an unbelievable job at Derby and deserves so much credit.

Great to see young managers doing so well."Our generation will have new and fresh ideas but the main thing is Wayne will be on a level with them having only recently retired.
