Jake Wood was just 11 years old when he announced to his mum that he wanted to be an actor. Her response? “Well, you are one.” The young Jake had just finished filming his first professional role in 1980s police drama The Gentle Touch alongside Jill Gascoigne, and had decided this was the life for him.
