Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe ’s daughter Gabriella has been talking about how long it has been since she had a cuddle from her mummy, says her father.

Richard Ratcliffe appeared on Good Morning Britain on Monday ahead of a BBC Panorama documentary about Nazanin's detainment in Iran.

He revealed his wife was given a release date in 2017 but the deal then fell through. She has been jailed since 2016, though she has spend the last five months under house arrest in her mother's home in Tehran due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "Most evenings [Gabriella] will be tearful and miss mummy, she will ask when mummy is coming back," Richard said. "She was discussing yesterday how long it's been since mummy cuddled her."
