British-Iranian dual national Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe faces a new charge four years after her arrest, Iran state TV has reported.
Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe, from West Hampstead, London, has been held in Iran since April 2016 on spying charges, which she denies.
She was released from prison during the coronavirus pandemic but remains under house arrest at her parents’ house in Tehran.
Today Iranian new outlet IRIB reported that Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe and her lawyer were summoned to court where they were told about the new charge. "The branch 15 of the Islamic Revolutionary court summoned Nazanin Zaghari and her designated lawyer this morning and informed her of a new indictment," an unnamed official told State TV.
