Tennis legend Boris Becker is planning to write a book focused on his tumultuous 2022. The German is spending time behind bars at Wandsworth prison after he was sentenced to two and a half years inside for hiding assets during bankruptcy proceedings. However, Becker is expected to spend just 15 months locked up, and serve the rest of his time on licence.
It has been reported he is set to put his time behind to good use by documenting his experiences inside. The Sun report a source close to the star said: “It’ll be a warts-and-all diary on how he got himself in such a troubling position and then what life is like in jail.
It will also focus on other things in his life. He’s trying to keep himself busy in jail. This is a good way. He knows there will be interest in such a book.”The former world number one is currently incarcerated at HMP Wandsworth and complained about the quality of food and overcrowding.
Another source added: “He could use it to reflect and channel his experiences, feelings and perhaps fears in jail.“Taking an active person and putting him in a cell is a difficult thing to cope with.
