A tourism board advertisement has gone viral as members of the public noticed what they thought was an embarrassing design flaw.
The 'This is Manchester' poster was meant to inspire some love for the cultural attractions in the area, but instead highlighted a blunder in the design department.
Asking the public to "plan their visit to Manchester," Twitter/X users mocked the design and said they were "inspired". The "inspirational quote on colourful background" seen behind two people on the poster was mocked relentlessly by members of the public.
One user posted a photo of the design and wrote: "Most inspiring tourism advert I've ever seen. Literally packing my suitcase right now." One user wondered what they were missing in the city and wrote: "OK, never been to Manchester, what am i missing besides a inspirational quote and colour background." Replies were less than praise-worthy of the city, with one writing: "You like small gigs, red brick buildings and a man with a ferret on a lead?" Another likened the area to "sort of a s***tier Oxford Street." With little information coming from the seemingly flubbed background text, members of the public openly mocked the tourism poster.
