An inspiring Dumbarton woman is defying her health difficulties by taking on a 5k in aid of her mum, who suffered a devastating stroke while being treated for cancer.Diz Stratton is taking part in the Stroke Association’s Resolution Run on Sunday.Her mum Elaine Bisland had a stroke days after beginning her second round of chemotherapy.It happened months after Elaine was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer and given just six weeks to live.Remarkably, 10 months after the cancer diagnosis she is defying doctors and bravely fighting the debilitating effects the stroke has had on her life, which include the loss of her memory and ability to talk and walk.Inspired by her mum, Diz decided to take on the charity challenge despite struggling with her
