'I want to jazz up my husband's attire – where do I start?'

Wardrobe Whisperer column, our team will find a solution for every style crisis.My 45-year-old husband is what I’d call a ‘classic’ dresser – his standard casual attire is a nice blue shirt, a pair of jeans and a navy jumper.

All of which are fine, but how can I introduce a small amount of ‘trend’ into his wardrobe in the form of something he’ll actually wear and feel comfortable in, but might just spruce things up a bit?– LuciaLucia, I cannot tell you how many times I’m asked this question.

Because, as much as the fashion industry would lead us to believe that ‘trends’ shift every six months, with an ‘all change’ from some unseen style god, men’s wardrobe habits shift at the rate of tectonic plates.

Particularly if that gentleman is over 40, when his approach to dressing generally settles into same-same outfits that are pleasant enough, but nothing noteworthy.
