Tesco customer had to channel her inner Viking after the chicken she ordered came with an unexpected surprise.Baker Lauren Hunter, who posts on Twitter under the name @Peachesndcream_, tweeted the supermarket chain to complain about her chicken she ordered online.

For the huge bird came covered in a back full of feathers – and she had to “pluck” her own chicken as a result.She tweeted, alongside the photo of the raw bird: “@Tesco Had to pluck my own chicken for tea”.The Hull-native's tweet ended with a smiling emoji and an embarrassed emoji.The bird itself has rather a large amount of white feathers on its back – and they weren't just the small ones you sometimes can find.Tesco replied to Lauren to apologise, and wrote: “I'm so sorry about this Chicken.“I'd like to make the supplier aware of this. “Can you please DM me with a photo of the barcode on the packaging, your receipt with the numbers along the bottom, your full name and email address?” After a discussion about refunds for online orders, Tesco tweeted that they would refund the price of the chicken for her.
