A hospital has apologised to a mum four years after her baby died in an 'avoidable tragedy'. Nicky Baines and her husband Colin have also now received a five-figure payout from Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
However, the couple say no amount of money will bring back their daughter Eleanor, who died at Manchester's Wythenshawe Hospital in 2016.
An inquest previously found there was 'an absence of monitoring of the foetal heart rate' when Eleanor was born after her twin brother, the Manchester Evening News reports.
