Hollyoaks is reportedly not returning to filming until July after a long hiatus due to the coronavirus lockdown. The news comes as the soap launched an investigation following former Hollyaoks star Rachel Adedeji accusing the show of "behind-the-scenes racism".According to The Sun, the Channel 4 show will commence production again on July 13, leaving it three-and a-half weeks behind Coronation Street and Emmerdale, both of whom are already back filming on set.Hollyoaks is currently airing twice a week, and this schedule is set to continue until September.The show plans to then go back up to four weekly episodes and eventually its regular five day run in 2021.A Hollyoaks spokesperson told The Sun Online: "As previously announced on Monday.
