Hafthor Bjornsson’s radical change in diet saw him go from eating 10,000 calories a day to 4,000 ahead of his boxing clash with Eddie Hall.The Icelandic Game of Thrones actor, 33, faces rival strongman Hall tonight (Saturday) in a highly anticipated bout.
After months of trash-talking, the pair finally go head-to-head in Dubai in what has been described as the heaviest boxing match in history.Former world’s strongest man Bjornsson previously consumed a whopping calorie intake of between 8,000 and 10,000-per day.
But he has now traded that for a special diet plan which has seen him lose 55kg after reducing his intake to just 4,000.Bjornsson weighed in at 152kg on Thursday, which was still 10kg heavier than Englishman Hall.
That comes following his new five meals-a-day routine which places a huge emphasis on steak to fuel his training. Explaining his less calorific diet, he said: “My diet has changed a lot since my strongman days.
