Hollyoaks favourite Martine Deveraux (Kellé Bryan) comes up with a plan to save her son Toby Faroe (Bobby Gordon) from going to prison after he confessed to killing Lisa Loveday.As Toby comes out of his coma, Martine makes it her mission to ensure policeman Saul Reeves (Chris Charles) doesn’t find out he’s awake, hoping to delay his arrest.When Grace Black (Tamara Black) overhears the news, Martine begs her to keep quiet.Later, Martine comes face to face with Toby, but can she forgive him for murdering her niece?Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) is shocked to find out that Toby is awake, but when he confronts Martine about not telling him, she admits that she’s been in denial.
He pleads with her not to give up on their son. However, DeMarcus Westwood (Tomi Ade) is not so forgiving, as he admits that he’s called Saul.Meanwhile, Toby is shocked to see Saul by his bedside, demanding for him to sign an official confession.Felix arrives just in the nick of time.
Martine decides to stand by her son and Felix makes a life-altering decision.At the hospital, Cleo McQueen (Nadine Rose Mulkerrin) refuses to listen to what Toby has to say.Later, it looks like Toby is contemplating taking his own life after Martine receives a concerning video message, but is all what it seems?Martine pleads with Felix to support her as she embarks on an elaborate plan to protect her family, but with DeMarcus feeling abandoned, and a vengeful Saul hot on their trail, will the scheme be successful?Saul’s mission for justice is no longer above board as he steals Grace’s gun and sets out for blood.Meanwhile, Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) is in panic mode after finding out that Leela Lomax (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) is going on a date with Ethan Williams.
