Hero nurse made sure gran with family in coronavirus isolation did not die alone

An 85-year-old grandmother didn't die alone as her family feared thanks to a nurse who stayed with her in her final moments.

Pauline Woodcock had cancer and was admitted to Milton Keynes Hospital on Sunday with breathing problems. Her six-year-old great-grandson William is also battling leukemia, so he and his family are in 12 weeks of self-isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic.

His mum Kim England-Godber feared her nan Pauline would end up dying in hospital alone after she was admitted. But she has praised an NHS nurse for being their right until the end.

Kim tweeted a picture of herself and her nan, and said: "Last night a nurse from @MKHospital sat with my nan while she passed. "She did what we couldn't, 12-week isolation means
