Ayrshire church.The yobs smashed their way into Irvine Old Parish on Friday, ransacked the vestry and made off with three silver fluted flower vases dating back to the end of the Second World War.The ornaments were donated to the church as a memorial to Irvinites who made the ultimate sacrifice during the conflict.The church, based in Kirkgate, Irvine, revealed in a Facebook post that the building had sustained some minor damage.The post read: "Under cover of darkness, the church received uninvited guests who broke into the building by kicking open the door on the east side of the church.
