Graeme Souness claimed Chelsea "won the lottery" with full-backs Reece James and Ben Chilwell after the Blues' 4-1 win over Sheffield United.
Chilwell, 23, starred in the victory at Bramall Lane, scoring in the first half to put Chelsea 2-1 up after Tammy Abraham equalised from David McGoldrick's opener.
The England left-back has impressed since his move from Leicester City last summer, picking up two goals, two assists and three clean sheets in five Premier League games.
James, 20, was also potent going forward and appears poised to hold down the right-back spot at Stamford Bridge for many years to come.
