GMTV presenter Fiona Phillips has told how she was trolled while fighting the coronavirus and forced to leave social media after the 'nasty' comments became too much for her.

In March she told fans she was suffering from Covid and has now revealed that she then left Twitter because she was still receiving nasty comments when she was "at death's door".

Fiona, 59, told The Mirror : “I came off Twitter altogether because even when they think you’re on death’s door, there are still people making nasty comments about you. "Covid-19 isn't a cuddly, friendly visitor.
