Two police officers who failed to arrest a suspect then 'lied about the reasons why' have been sacked. The man wasn't arrested despite him being in breach of court-imposed bail conditions imposed in relation to a previous domestic abuse matter.

He wasn't arrested and the officers later lied to a communications officer - then a sergeant - by saying it was the man's brother.
