Greater Manchester Police said the constable was 'covertly' following a speeding car in Heywood, near Rochdale. The car, a white Toyota, subsequently failed to stop when instructed, the force said. Police said the car, which hasn't been identified, reached speeds of up to 110mph, even in 30mph zones, from Heywood through Rochdale town centre.
