The organisers of Glastonbury festival have announced a global livestream event after the annual festival was cancelled amid the pandemic.

The livestream concert will take place at the legendary Worthy Farm in May this year and will mark the festival’s 50th anniversary.

The Somerset festival was due to take place in June this year, but unfortunately, organisers were forced to cancel for the second year in a row as the coronavirus continues to sweep the UK.

Speaking to Dermot O'Leary on BBC Radio 2, organiser Emily Eavis confirmed that although fans won’t be able to physically step foot on Worthy Farm this year, there will still be something special in store to mark the iconic event.
