Disney announced on Thursday that The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl, a new concert special celebrating the legacy of its Academy Award-winning animated classic The Lion King, is coming to Disney+ on Friday, February 7. Check out a new trailer above.

Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music Critic “Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert,” a concert film shot in Dubai that also includes documentary interviews with some of the stars and filmmakers the composer has worked with, will hit theaters globally starting March 19, Trafalgar Releasing announced Wednesday. The bulk of the 158-minute film will be performance footage of Zimmer and his band and orchestra playing selections from films like “Dune,” “The Lion King,” “Gladiator” and “Interstellar,” in locations including Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena and Al Wasl Plaza dome at Expo City Dubai.

Hans Zimmer will be coming to cinemas with a host of famous names in a concert film titled Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond In The Desert.The film features conversations with film luminaries such as Christopher Nolan and Denis Villeneuve; movie stars Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya; as well as music icons Billie Eilish and Johnny Marr. It will screen in select cinemas across The Americas, Europe, Asia, and United Arab Emirates, with limited screenings beginning March 19.A press release read: “Decades of cinematic masterpieces are brought to life by his band and a world-class orchestra at Dubai’s iconic Coca-Cola Arena, the star-studded Al Wasl Plaza dome at Expo City Dubai and beyond.

Veteran rockers Coldplay have teamed with Abramorama to mount what they have described as a “global theatrical premiere event” tied to their upcoming album Moon Music. 

A special titled 100th: Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden -The Greatest Arena Run of All Time will air Sunday, April 14 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/ PT) on the CBS Network and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+*.

Mercury is looking to sell the project at Mipcom, taking place this week in Cannes.

Coldplay have announced a cinema presentation of a ‘Music Of The Spheres’ concert film.The film was recorded across the band’s sold-out ten-night run at the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, which took place in October 2022. It was originally streamed worldwide at the tail end of last year.Per a press release, the cinema presentation will feature remixed / remastered sound and visuals, captured using 30 cameras, racing drones and 360° filming techniques by BAFTA-winning and Grammy-nominated director Paul Dugdale.The film also includes a host of footage that wasn’t shown during the live broadcast, when it screened in  81 countries.

Naman Ramachandran A film of Coldplay’s sold-out 10-night concert run at Buenos Aires’ River Plate stadium in 2022 will get a worldwide release in April from Trafalgar Releasing. The concert was part of the band’s “Music Of The Spheres” world tour, which sold more than six million tickets. The film, “Coldplay – Music Of The Spheres: Live At River Plate,” is the director’s cut of the Oct. 28, 2022 worldwide live broadcast of the show across 81 countries. It will feature remixed/remastered sound and visuals captured using 30 cameras, racing drones and 360° filming techniques, by BAFTA-winning and Grammy-nominated director Paul Dugdale.

Coldplay have announced they will be broadcasting their upcoming gig at Buenos Aires’ River Plate Stadium.The show, part of Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour, will be shown in thousands of cinemas in over 70 countries. Taking place October 28 for fans in North America and Latin America, and shown elsewhere on October 29, the band will also be offering repeat screenings.
