I Love You. The 300 actor appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show this week and told the story about the on-set accident that sent Swank to the hospital and him standing alone in boxers. 'She's so cool and so great to work with that I almost killed her,' he explained to Barrymore.
Hilary Swank seemingly forgave co-star Gerard Butler for the incident, reuniting years later at an event in 2011The actor explained that his character, Gerry Kennedy, was supposed to get hit in the face with a crocodile suspender clip while getting undressed in, but the metal fastener ricocheted in the opposite direction and 'slashed' Swank in the head instead. 'The camera people had plastic fronts to protect themselves from this crocodile clip, it was so dangerous, I had to ping it and it would go past my face. 'This time, I'm crawling towards the bed, it gets stuck, it releases, flies over my head, hits her in the head, slashes her head.
I cut her open, you could even see the teeth [of the clip].'She has to be taken to hospital. Literally, image this studio and in three seconds everybody is gone and I'm just sitting there in my boxer shorts and my boots and a pair of socks and I just started crying.'
