Cate Blanchett hit the red carpet in a chic turtleneck look for the premiere of her newest movie, TÁR, held during the 2023 Berlinale Film Festival in Germany on Thursday (February 23).

The 53-year-old actress met up with director Todd Field and co-star Nina Hoss on the red carpet just a few hours after a press conference in support of the flick. “I think it’s a very challenging and rewarding film,” Cate shared on the red carpet with Reuters.

She added that “when we all made it, we had no inkling that it would have been embraced in the way that it has, which is extraordinary and embraced by so many different pockets of, you know, from the critics to the mainstream awards to the independent spirit.” TÁR centers on conductor Lydia Tár, who is days away from recording the symphony that will elevate her career.

When all elements seem to conspire against her, Lydia’s adopted daughter Petra becomes an integral emotional support for her struggling mother.
