Everton will donate plenty of food that was originally produced for Monday night’s Merseyside derby to North Liverpool Foodbank (NLF).
The Toffees were due to welcome Liverpool to Goodison Park however all Premier League matches have been postponed due to the outbreak of coronavirus until April 4.
And Everton’s official catering partner Sodexo is donating more than 635kg of fruit and vegetables to NLF. The donated goods include 136 litres of milk, 65 litres of cream and 360 eggs.
They will be given to NLF with the foodbank supplying emergency food parcels to feed more than 7,000 people annually. Jo Wetherill, Sodexo catering services director, said: “Our first thought on learning the match wouldn’t be going ahead was of how we could use
