Gary Neville takes Liverpool's side in VAR debate as fans cry out for red card

But even Neville, a Manchester United man through and through, could not ignore the fact that he believed Brighton and Hove Albion Robert Sanchez should have been given a red card for his challenge on Luis Diaz.Neville took to social media to clearly emphasise his thoughts on the controversial incident.“Got to be a red card” Neville posted on Twitter.Sanchez rushed out of his line to try and clear Joel Matip’s precise ball over the top for Diaz, who had drifted past the Seagulls’ defence.The former Porto man not only timed his run to perfection but his header too, bravely throwing himself forward to head pass the on-rushing Sanchez.Diaz beat the goalkeeper to the ball and headed the Reds into an early lead, but his persistence came at a very painful price.
