Former right-back Gary Neville has slammed Manchester United co-chairman Avram Glazer in a social media post following the latter's visit to the United Arab Emirates to hold talks with the chairman of Dubai's Sports Council about cricket.
On Thursday, Glazer was pictured having a meeting with Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, less than 48 hours after United crashed out of the Champions League, losing to Atletico Madrid.
Later, Mansoor bin Mohammed tweeted that he and Glazer had discussed the prospect of a United cricket team being launched. He tweeted: "I met with Avram Glazer, co-chairman of Manchester United, today and discussed ways to work together to further raise Dubai's profile as a global sporting hub.
We also discussed the UAE T20 Cricket league's launch in January 2023 featuring Manchester United cricket team and other teams."
