Manchester United star Gary Neville has aimed a brutal dig at the Conservative Party when asked a tricky question about Liverpool Football Club.Neville may be a former player and a current pundit, but the Monday Night Football regular has recently been incredibly outspoken about his views on politics, particularly backing the Labour Party.
Neville's public views began as he wanted to see football become more regulated by the Government, but it's overspilled into more general affairs. And he's received quite the backing, with some bookmakers even pricing him up to one day become UK Prime Minister, although after having an unsuccessful stint away from punditry, Neville vowed to stay put in his trade.
But that hasn't stopped him taking swipes at the Government, and he's done so in brutal fashion while actually praising Liverpool.Neville is famously not the biggest fan of Liverpool, having spent his whole career as a United defender, and he and co-host Jamie Carragher regularly clash when discussing the two sides.
Therefore, it's not often that Neville is too complimentary of his former rivals. And that's why his latest admission shows his unrest with the Conservative Party, as he was willing to side with Liverpool in order to take a swipe at them.
