Jamie Carragher has warned Mohamed Salah that leaving Liverpool would be a grave error amid the Egyptian King's contract standoff. The Reds ace, 29, is still yet to pen a new deal at Anfield with reports that talks collapsed in December.
Salah is still keen to stay at the Premier League high-flyers but is unwilling to lower his terms, claiming he is not "asking for crazy stuff".However, Jurgen Klopp has insisted the club "cannot do much more" in terms of meeting Salah's demands, with The Mirror reporting that the world-class winger is demanding a salary of €400k-a-week (£336,000).
And while still firmly of the belief that Salah will extend his stay, Reds legend Carragher has warned that leaving Anfield hasn't always worked out for previous stars."I think he'll end up signing a contract," said Carragher as part of co-host Gary Neville's Instagram live following Monday Night Football."I'm not totally worried about the situation, to be honest.
I think he will sign because of the situation at all these other clubs. The players they're signing, I think they're looking at [Erling] Haaland and [Kylian] Mbappe - younger players than Salah.HAVE YOUR SAY!
