Jamie Carragher has admitted he would "love" to see Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone in the Premier League, possibly as Jurgen Klopp's successor at Liverpool.The Argentine has overseen a remarkable resurgence with the club from the Spanish capital, guiding them to eight honours in over 11 years at the helm. 'El Cholo' led Atletico to the La Liga title as recently as last season to add to their 2014 league success.During his tenure, the 51-year-old has also won one Copa Del Rey and the Europa League twice, in addition to guiding Atleti to two Champions League finals.
Simeone is revered for installing a unique discipline and tenacity to his teams, and Carragher has revealed he would love to see the Argentine try his hand at management in the Premier League.
When discussing the possibility of Simeone succeeding Ralf Rangnick as Manchester United manager in the summer, the former Liverpool legend admitted he hopes to see the Atletico Madrid boss manage in the Premier League, while suggesting he could be considered as Klopp's successor.
Speaking on the latest episode of The Overlap, Carragher said: "Yes, I think so. He has that stature. Gary (Neville) talks about coming up against him.
