Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Gareth Southgate has delivered a rabble-rousing speech to his England players, telling them to carry on making the nation proud.
The England boss made a special point of praising the work many of them have done during lockdown with a mention for the likes of Raheem Sterling on anti-racism and Marcus Rashford on child poverty.
But Southgate then stressed how important it is to build on that for the future of the England team and staying connected with the fans at a time they cannot attend games.
It was a rallying cry from the Three Lions boss ahead of the Nations League games with Iceland and Denmark to try to stress their importance at a difficult time ahead of the start of the season.
