Gareth Bale has slammed claims he focuses on golf too much by insisting he doesn't even play often.The Wales hero's club career has reached somewhat of a standstill in recent years.
Despite winning five Champions League medals, he played a far lesser role at Real Madrid in his final few seasons with the Spanish giants.Bale, 32, has frequently been accused of being injured for lengthy periods and focusing more on hobbies outside of football, such as golf.
But the forward has now come out and rubbished both claims by revealing he doesn't actually play as often as people have been led to believe.Bale said: "I've been available for quite a lot of the games in Spain but sometimes you don't get picked, so people assume you are injured.
It's that perception that people think I play a lot of golf, when I actually don't."People think I'm injured a lot, but I'm actually not.
