Furious Man Utd fans insist referee ignored two ‘clear’ fouls before Atletico goal

United opened brightly but soon Diego Simeone’s side turned up the heat and started to threaten at goal.Joao Felix managed to put the ball in the net in the first half, only for it to be chalked off for offside.
But Atletico finally put themselves ahead through Renan Lodi. But the home side were enraged that two incidents did not bring a halt to proceedings right before the goal was scored by the wingback, let alone VAR not flagging either of them.In the build-up for the goal, United fans felt that Fred was shoved to the floor, while they were sure Anthony Elanga was also fouled with a trip.Red Devils fans took to Twitter to vent their frustrations.
One asked: “How did they give the goal they fouled Elanga and Fred?” Another said: “Elanga and Fred double fouls but ref looked the other way loooooool.”A third stated: “Absolutely ridiculous there’s a foul called on Elanga for winning a ball against Oblak, no foul on Bruno in the box, and TWO fouls in the build-up to the visored goal not called.
