It’s 52 years since Alan Mullery became the first man to be sent off while on England duty. In a European Championship clash with Yugoslavia, with three minutes left, Mullery created history.
After lashing out at Dobrivoje Trivic, Mullery became the first player while wearing the Three Lions shirt to receive a red card.
Since then, there has surprisingly only been 14 more red cards shown to players representing the Three Lions on international duty.
