British comedy duo Trevor Neal and Simon Hickson became known throughout the 1980s and 1990s for their work on the BBC shows Going Live!
and Live and Kicking. The friends first met as students at Manchester University in 1981. They met while working on the university's drama department's Christmas show, which featured Trevor as a squirrel on a skateboard.
They became known for their cheeky sketches together on television, including The Singing Corner, which is where their most famous phrase – "Swing Your Pants" – came from.
They worked with Phillip Schofield (and Gordon the Gopher) on Going Live! between 1987 and 1993, and then Andi Peters, John Barrowman, Zoe Ball and Jamie Theakston on Live and Kicking between 1993 and 1997.
