Chock-full of big brands at budget prices, TK Maxx is a established favourite among bargain hunters hoping to find discounted designer gems.

Now, a former store employee has revealed how shoppers can bag themselves the best bargains, with one number you should look out for on labels.

As part of Channel 5's documentary TK Maxx: How do they do it?, fans of the retailers gave an insight into what really goes on behind the store doors, with ex-employees offering up their own insider knowledge.

One such expert is former senior merchandiser Daniel Baker, who advised customers to search for a single number on item tags, according to the Mirror.

They added that they were supportive of the farm being brought back into use.Some conditions were imposed, including the installation of bat boxes on a sycamore tree in the grounds.It was once the home of Anthony Clarkson, a Georgian-era land surveyor and commissioner who designed all of the tithe maps of Swaledale.
