Arsenal transfer target Saido Berahino has rediscovered his golden touch in front of goal. The striker scored his first hat-trick in English football after Sheffield Wednesday demolished Cambridge United 6-0.

It was a gleaming moment for the former West Brom star, who lit up the Premier League back in 2015. At the time, Berahino looked like the next big thing and had been tipped to make a move to one of the big clubs, including Arsenal.

As well as Arsenal, Tottenham were also strongly linked with the forward but a transfer never materialised. When ensued was a sad decline of a player that had the world at his feet and he found himself on the sidelines for several years.A failed spell at Stoke was followed by a couple of years in Belgium where the Burundi international looked to return to form. That failed to transpire, though, and he signed for Sheffield Wednesday last summer to reunite with Darren Moore, who helped him as a youngster at West Brom. And while it has been a tricky season for the Owls, Berahino reasserted himself as a top finisher and reminded everyone why he was wanted by Arsenal.

On Saturday, he scored a fine hat-trick against Cambridge in a 6-0 win at Hillsborough - the first time he has scored more than one in a match in England since his double for the Baggies in 2015 against Chelsea.
