The tragic shooting has taken place at the territory of the Southern Yuzhmash Machine-Building Plan, Dnipro. Artemiy Ryabchuk, a serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine and a soldier of the 2001 service, shot a guard of NMU servicemen with a Kalashnikov assault rifle while issuing weapons for unknown reasons - after which he fled with a weapon.Unfortunately, an NMU serviceman died while receiving medical treatment.The incident occurred at 4am on January 27, and according to reports the soldier took an assault rifle and ammunition and opened fire in the weapons facility.
At that time, there were about 22 soldiers in the room.Two managed to escape to the street to ring for emergency services' help.The "Siren" plan - a state of alert - was introduced in Dnipro.
The soldier has not yet been caught but according to the latest information he was seen on Makarov Street near the Rocket and Space College.The commander of the National Guard, Colonel-General Mykola Balan, immediately rushed to the scene.The area is currently cordoned off and is surrounded by police who are patrolling the area while civilians are not allowed in.The shooter is dressed in camouflage clothing and can hide a machine gun under his uniform.The causes of the incident have not yet been determined.Earlier it was reported that a group of people stopped the car of a Kherson OTG deputy near Odessa and opened fire, with both him and his wife inside.
